Ashlee J. Burt
My journey started in upstate NY when I began my undergraduate career in Art and Community Health. During my freshmen year I became pregnant with my daughter and married my husband. Juggling classes, work, and a newborn was too much - sometimes you have to remove all safety nets and jump to build your own success. We decided to pack up and move to Arkansas to start over. Here is where I obtained my B.A. and M.S. and had my second child. Wanting the opportunity to educate patients I then obtained my BSN and became a Registered Nurse when we moved to south TX. During this time I began teaching part-time and it became my passion. I started nursing full time in acute care until I was able to become a full-time Lecturer and now work as needed at the hospital. I had my third child in TX while in nursing school!

Since I began my undergrad in NY I had a love for holistic health. I remember the courses I had and the Instructors I had included concepts on alternative health and even had guest speakers in the class such as a Reiki Master.

My spark for holistic health only grew from here and as I researched other remedies and folk traditional health options as well as discovered the American Holistic Nurses Association I found my true calling. I look to connect with individuals and guide them to finding their ideal lifestyle.

Besides staying busy with my three kids, I love trying new food, playing piano, tabletop games, video games, reading, art, and traveling with my furry companion Cypress!
